Breaking News – 2000 Fleer Tradition Set Complete 1-450

OK, It is not breaking news but it did take 10 years to finish.  I finally finished collecting the 2000 Fleer Tradition set.  I admit I lost interest a long, long time ago so here are the only scans you will get.  


In all seriousness, I always thought this set was pretty cool, paying homage to the '54 Topps design and was the beginning of the retro re-introduction age which I am always a sucker for.  And when I was able to get the last stack of cards for almost nothing, I jumped on it.  Anything to continue my procrastination from finishing the '60's Topps sets...  Enjoy.

2012 Gypsy Queen/2011 Bowman Box Hits

My box of Gypsy Queen was fun to open though the results were a little disappointing.  The autographs were of Joe Benson and Nathan Eovaldi.  I really like the on-card-ness of it but don’t really care about either player.  I did pull an Albert Pujols mini #’d to 99 which is pretty neat.  The relics were a Derek Holland and mini Adam Jones so that is a little better.  I would have preferred Holland to be sporting his 11 year old 'stache but what are you gonna do??? 

My Bowman box was for 2011 because, like I mentioned in the post below, I am an idiot and picked up 2011, not 2012.  I’ve placed an order for a 2012 box as well as an Archives box to try and satiate the Card Universe god.  The Auto I pulled was Adron Chambers, so no Bryce Harper!  Rejection!!!!  Although the box did produce 2 different Harper’s, some Yankee farm hands – Banuelos and Williams and some #’d cards.

2012 Topps Archives Blaster/Rack Pack Hits

I picked up a a blaster and a few rack packs up from target from the new Archives release.  The blaster offered up a Jeremy Hellickson Relic and the rack packs got me a Bud Harrelson fan favorites auto!  Not too shabby.  I've gotten Bud's auto TTM before but it's always nice to pull a vintage looking autograph.  Overall I like the set, it's fun and as a child of the 80's, I love pulling a Mattingly along side a Jeter. 

I just finished breaking into a box of '12 Gypsy Queen and 2011 Bowman that I will break down shortly.  Why 2011 and not 2012 Bowman you might be asking???  Because I am an idiot and ordered the wrong one.

New Rush Single Released Today...

If you like Rush and I know you do, the new single was released today called, "Headlong Flight". You can stream it here. I like it. What are your thoughts? I think the bass work is especially stellar.

The new album, Clockwork Angels will be released in June 2012.

2012 Topps Heritage set 1-425 Complete!

I just put the finishing touches on the base set for Heritage. I'm a sucker for the 62' original design so I was all in from the get go. Now I just need to put that effort into the original 62' set I've been working on for 10 years! I can scan the whole set if anyone is interested in seeing it like I did for the topps series 1 base set earlier this year.

Now on to the short prints!!!
